I have a droid.(had iPhone on ATT but didnt get coverage at work/home) I payed an extra $100 to get the 1 year commitment in Nov 2009 just in case the CDMA iPhone came out a year later. Well it did come out a year later and my verizon contract was up. But I didnt get it because it was the same 8 month old phone and there is 0 chance I am going to get locked into a 2 year deal in january for a 8 month old phone that I wont be able to trade in until the June release 2.5 years later.
I'm surprised they are surprised.

DreamStream� is an application designed to help you fall asleep, whether for a nap, or for the night. Much like pricey noise machines you may have seen in high-end specialty stores, DreamStream plays soothing sounds for a set period of time, while you drift off to sleep. The Sleep option plays your sounds while you fall asleep for the night -- need 30 minutes? 3 hours? You decide. The Nap option plays you to sleep, then wakes you up to a different sound. All I want is a little scale in the corner. Is that too much to ask? It's impossible to figure out how far away things are visually. In the heat of navigation (especially via car) time is of the essence and having to re-calculate the route just to figure out the distance to destination from the current location takes too long.
Which is why, in the heat of navigation, it's better to use a dedicated GPS system. I'd love it if Apple made my TomTom redundant. One fewer thing to carry and charge.

Hey guys,
I'm sure that this is a common problem, but I've only seen variations of my problem in the threads I've gone through and none of the suggested fixes from other threads has worked.
I have a PC running Windows 7 Professional. My iTunes is up to date and I have a 120GB iPod Classic I purchased, oh, maybe 3 years ago? The cord I'm using is the one that came with my 3G iPhone about a year ago and is not damaged.
When I try to sync my iPod in iTunes, the first time I hook it up to the USB cord, it makes the ding saying that computer recognizes one of the USB ports is in use. Then a notification pops up in the bottom right hand corner saying that the computer is installing software. It will do this for a while and basically nothing happens. It will then randomly make the ding the computer makes when something from a USB port is unplugged, even though I have yet to unplug my iPod and it will say its still installing software. iTunes will not pop up and if I open iTunes it does not recognize that my iPod is plugged in.
Then if I unplug my iPod and to try and replug it in, my entire iPod will freeze up. It will stay like this for about 6+ hours normally and the battery will be completely drained when it finally unfreezes.
Now this is where it gets strange...then, if I attempt to sync my iPod again after it no longer frozen, the computer will immediately recognize it, iTunes will pop up, it will sync in like, 1 to 2 minutes and then tell me its OK to Disconnect.
Then when I try again after a few days, it will do the whole thing all over again, iTunes won't recognize it, the iPod freezes, and then on the second attempt after it unfreezes, syncing it is a breeze!
My iPhone has NONE of these problems, I plug it in and iTunes immediately recognizes it and syncs it.
Help? :(

Ummmm.. what if I bought a iPhone 4 at launch. Recently broke it... and now want the white one?
Your out of luck. Under no circumstances will Apple EVER replace a product with another one that is not exactly the same! Period!
What i'm wondering about is when we will get an announcement about it.
If the launch is Wednesday they are leaving it incredibly late!
What are we supposed to do. Base it all on rumor and show up outside stores on Wednesday if we want one? Give me a break!

I've recommended it before, I'll recommend it again:
Cocoa Gestures (http://www.bitart.com/CocoaGestures.html) (there's a lightweight free version that I use, and a beefy shareware version.)
Gestures, for those not familiar, let you set a hotkey or hotbutton (on a multi-button mouse) that, when held in combination with drawing patterns ("gestures") with the mouse, will execute various options. Single biggest timesaver/hand movement reducer I have ever installed on a computer, period (and I've been using 'em since the before there was a Mac).
Gives a three button mouse more power than a seven button mouse.
Awesome tip for web browsing: Program the menu items for your most heavily used links as gestures, and you can hit your favorite pages with a flick of the wrist.

The iPhone 4 is now 10 months old, that's getting a bit long in the tooth in the ever evolving tech world. :)
Agreed + the fact that this model was not released with the original phone; so it was going to suffer.
The real comparison would be the white iPhone 4 + the black iPhone 4 after April to iPhone 3GS when the iPhone4 came out.
