LG Wink: Touch Phone Series for Generation Z
LG launches the Wink series: First touch phone series for the Generation Z
The next generation of smartphone users has started calling itself the ‘Generation Z’. ‘Generation X’ or the ‘gen-next’ is a thing of the past now. Keeping the likes and dislikes of this generation in mind LG electronics has launched a series of colorful and feature rich low budget touchscreen phones that is supposed to suffice the requirement of this generation. The series has been coined as the LG Wink Series and the lineup consists of three different models. Basically this means a set of phones with more basic features and a presumably budget price tag to go along with it, in a bid to take on Samsung’s Genio range of low-price handsets.
Each phone will have a microSD card slot, FM radio and 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as the obligatory links to social networking sites and instant messaging, with threaded conversations too. The user interface has been given a “fun, cartoon-styled user interface” to appeal to said audience, but we don’t know anything else about the specs. Presumably there will be minimal on-board storage and resistive screens in play, as well as no Wi-Fi to improve connection speed on the non-3G versions. It seems interesting to know that the companies still believe that the best way to get kids using their smartphones is by adding more colorful bumpers to the hardware and add cartoon characters to the display.
LG Wink: Touch Phone Series for Generation Z
“The LG Wink Series consists of three full-touch handsets: Wink, Wink Style and Wink 3G, all suitable for younger users or first-time touch phone users. Tailored for the distinctive needs of today’s youth market, the LG Wink Series provides more versatile texting functionality, enhanced music options, wider social networking support, and a customizable, user-friendly interface and design,” LG informs.
Besides being trendy and pocket fitting the phones are also feature some attractive social networking tools that will also be handy for attracting more and more Generation Z users. Here, is a brief discussion about each of these phones:
LG Wink – The Wink series of phone is the most compact and most lowely priced of the three models that have been released in this this range and features a very pocket friendly 2.4’’ display along with the integration of excellent social networking tools. Besides these the Wink phones also feature a 3.5-inch headphone jack, FM radio and microSD slot for enjoying and easy sharing of music and movies.
LG Wink Style – LG Wink Style is the stylish phone in the series with a 2.8-inch LCD display and boldest design. Wink Style is available in a variety of color options with accents on the front button panel, making it one of the most fashionable full-touch phones on the market. The phone’s colorful mix-and-match design will appeal to the young mobile generation’s desire for self-expression.
LG Wink 3G- LG Wink 3G allows for faster connectivity and data transmission, always keeping users connected to friends and family. Its advanced e-mail feature utilizes the latest in push-delivery technology, instantly alerting users when messages are sent to any of their e-mail addresses. LG Wink 3G is a perfect choice not only for Generation Z but also for digitally active people who cannot compromise on network connectivity and design.
Although nothing has been said about the price tag that will be assorted on these phones but guessing from the mission statement and also from the specs that have been made available- the phone should be costing in the mid 8k to 12k range. The company will launch the series in Europe and the Middle East starting in mid-August followed by Latin America, CIS and select Asian countries, including China, in the third quarter.

Practicing to Get Smooth Feet at Home
Most people experience rough feet at some time in their lives and trying to adopt different practices to get smooth feet at home. Rough feet do not have to plague you for the rest of your life. A few simple techniques and a little time each day will give exceptional results.
Take out some time from your busy routine and follow these steps to get an instant results. Your pretty feet are not to hide under cover instead they should be flaunt and show off. If you think you can not afford to have a professional pedicure in a nail salon, treat yourself to one at home. You don’t need to book an expensive salon appointment to get the perfect pedicure. So go ahead get ready to do your own pedicure.
Prepare your feet:
Fill your bathtub or a bucket with warm water. Fill the tub with enough water to soak the feet. Add some bath salts or desired amount of foot soak into the tub. Let it dissolve. If you do not have bath salts or foot soak try salt from your kitchen.
Clean the nails:
Remove any nail polish from your toes.
Soak your feet:
Soak your feet minimum for 15-20 minutes. You may enjoy relaxing music, interesting magazine or wear a soothing face pack and enjoy the warm water on your tried feet.
Soften up:
Remove dead skin cells by gently scrubbing calluses and heels with a pumice stone. This is an important step to attain soften and touchable feet. This would help to exfoliate your feet, resulting in soft feet.
Massage you feet:
Dry your feet with a clean towel. Massage gently one foot at a time, then do the other. Begin by massaging the cream (Les Savons Foot Lotion soothes and smoothes rough feet) gently into the whole foot, top and bottom, toes to ankle. End this portion with strokes going from your toes to your ankles.
Trim nails:
Trim toenails, cutting them in a square shape which will prevent ingrown nails. Gently using the orange stick or cuticle stick push back cuticles . This will allow you to paint your entire nail by guiding the supple cuticle out of the way. Never cut your cuticles — they are necessary for keeping bacteria from entering the skin.
Pick a color:
If you wish to apply nail polish, choose a desired shade of polish. Apply each coat at a time, slowly. Apply the next coat once the last coat is completely dry. Repeat the step until you have achieved a desired shade of the polish.
Cuticles care:
Let your nails dry for at least half an hour, then rub a dab of olive oil into your cuticles and nail beds to moisturize them.
It is so much fun to indulge yourself in spa pedicure but the softness you experience from your home pedicure is comparable to the pedicures you might receive in a salon. Create a spa like atmosphere, play some relaxing music and enjoy. Don’t be shy to bare your toes in summer. It’s finally a time to get into cute, trendy and colorful sandals and flip-flops.
