If you follow the money, I pay for goods which go into company funds which are used to contribute to buy Republican candidates who are dedicated to passing corporate-friendly laws that make my air dirtier and my food unhealthier, and that lower my standard of living until they finally ship my job to another country. Nice racket they have going. Has anybody ever noticed that the well never dries of money to buy off our government? I just love watching them cry about regulation; very classy.

3. Apple TV/Movie Deal, Rental Deal. 250GB Apple TV with 1080p output and iTunes Purchases for movies and HDTV shows, up to 720P Res. downloads.
Or at lease I hope for #1. I doubt it, but if my dream came true I would buy one and a ton of apple stock.:apple:

I have to say this game kicks the crap out of Modern Warfare 2 which felt dull and boring in multiplayer mode. The maps are far more varied than in Modern Warfare 2 and much more interesting. The game modes are pretty good and the best thing about it is the customisation you can do. Plus the new leader boards are good for those of us who are pretty competitive.
Overall I'm much happier with this game than I ever was with Modern Warfare 2 which I only ever played FFA on and people always used to cheat by using Tactical Insertion to sit next to each other and get free kills.

I have one word for you Lossless.
Yeah, already work that way... I already have all my audio collection on a centralized music server. I wouldn't mind an iPod for what it is, but I'm also not the kind of guy that enjoys listening to music through cheesy little earbuds. I can do larger DJ-style headphones in a pinch, but I prefer to listen to my music loud on a good sound system where I can feel it. And if anyone else there doesn't like it, they can just leave. :D
However, I'd like to get back into developing games for a commercial platform and I'd be all over the iPod if Apple would open up an SDK.

I for one will be staying with AT&T if and when Verizon gets the iPhone. I'll also be laughing while Verizon suffers the same fate that AT&T did as millions of users hit their network at once. I don't care how "strong" Verizon's network is, I don't think they're ready for the heavy hit they're going to take.
The situation is completely different for VZW than it was for ATT.
Firstly AT&T was the only network provider for the iPhone, this won't be the case for VZW. Secondly AT&T was at the very initial stages of 3G deployment with only a single channel deployed on 1900mhz compared to VZW using their entire spectrum for one network set. AT&T at the time was only using (and still is for the most part) a fraction of their spectrum for 3G.
Though this is Apple's first time messing with a CDMA radio, I wonder how bad they will screw it up? lol.

After all of the comments about how great Aperture ran, and considering how crappy it was running on mine, I decided to take into the Apple Store.
The video card is defective and they are replacing it. No wonder my experience with the program stunk.

My comments on having the video card do some heavy lifting, and how that's a good idea for the majority of users ,only applies to those that have a video card :rolleyes:

Super interesting thread here. Very enjoyable reading, at least for most of the messages. (except for the ditzo who cant see why Apple would have two seperate iphone upgrade dates, one in Jan and one in June.....it makes complete business sense).
The minute I saw Verizons announcement out of nowhere about rolling out the LTE network in 1/3 of the country on Dec 5, my ears went up. I mean why do that if there isnt something following it soon after? It sure SEEMs like they are "setting the table" for something.
I guess we'll find out soon enough.
I just really hope the Verizon Iphone is available in White from Day One. The white is sharp looking.

The consideration is very clear. Thanks for quoting the premise for contract law, but claiming there is no consideration there is ridiculous.
People who tether use more bandwidth, so the cost associated with their usage is more expensive. The carriers can either charge those people for tethering or they can raise the price for EVERYONE.
They choose to charge the people who tether. It is a perfectly reasonable choice on their part.

Your cable example is weak. On cable you are paying for the content on that line. On your data plan there is no content to pay for.. it is just straight internet.
A better cable example would be a cable company charging you monthly to extend your cable to each seperate room.

If it's just Disney, then there's not much point. The reason iTMS succeeded from the start was that it was simple and it had the largest library from which you could purchase single songs. If the iTunes Movie store starts with just Disney movies, then it's dead in the water. Let's just hope that ThinkSecret is wrong again, as usual.

My son, then two, was pulled aside by "random" secondary screening in 2005 at Ontario airport in SoCal. I wasn't too upset, because nothing inappropriate (other than the absurdity of checking a two-year-old) was done, but was struck by the waste of time. And lest anyone think we were profiled, we are both obviously white, with English-sounding names, traveling on round-trip tickets.

I am a Powerbook G4 user, and ready for a new computer. I was hoping that they would update the MacBook Pro, because I would definately buy one, but that doesn't look like thats going to happen anytime soon... ::mad:
Do you edit HD video? Do you do mobile multitrack recording (32 tracks or more at a time)?
If not, my question is... why are you "ready" for a new computer?
By the way, I have a PB 1GHz, running OS X 10.5 smoothly, and it works just fine. I have the money to go blowing on new gadgets but, I've mellowed out on that.
However, if you want to buy yourself a new toy every year "just cos"... be my guest. I'm an Apple shareholder and I appreciate the money going out of your pocket and into mine.

And people kept telling me that OSX and iOS weren't going to merge in any meaningful manner for years ahead, if ever. Yeah right. I'd bet the one after this has them nearly fully merged and I mean towards iOS for the most part. OSX will be dumbed down to the lowest common brain cell and you won't be able to get free/open software anymore. It'll have to come through the App Store or not at all. Wait and see. That is the point I'll be moving on.

As I would imagine I am willing to be that Apple and Intel have come sort of legal contract saying that apple can NOT use an AMD (or VIA or Transmeta, etc...) processor. That wouldnt pusprise me in the least. infact its just good business....but then again i could be wrong
